Dimitrije Kokanov is a theatre dramaturg, playwright, film and television screenwriter. He is an in-house dramaturg with the Theatre Atelje 212 in Belgrade. He is a member of The Association of Drama Artists of Serbia. In the capacity of dramaturge, he has collaborated on more than seventy projects of various performing arts practices in the country and abroad. His auteur texts have been published and performed in different languages. As a playwright and director, he collaborates with the drama programme of Radio Belgrade. He is the winner of several awards for drama texts, the most significant ones being “Borislav Mihajlović Mihiz” award for achievement in playwriting (2017), and Sterija Award for contemporary dramatic text Moving (2020). He published a book of dramatic texts Ni heroji ni lovci (Neither Heroes nor Hunters, LOM, 2023).
