Discipline is deeply rooted in European history. It is a construct of the government, a completely new reality whose primary inhabitant is the disciplined person. For those in power, nothing is better than a disciplined person. Eleven Vests is a play about an individual who resisted discipline in an attempt to preserve his individuality. Despite this, the strict authoritarian system proved stronger. Thus, a follower was created, devoid of any uniqueness and youthful spirit, capable only of blindly following orders from the authorities.
