The drama Birdcage uses an innovative approach to tell a story about the lives of four inmates of a juvenile correctional facility. They have no names, only abbreviations because their communication is mostly virtual and encrypted. In a world where they seem to be left to their own devices, they make all the rules. The author places the burning topic of violence in a specific environment where violence should be treated, but, actually, only increases in the vicious circle that leads to it. Birdcage is the winning text of Sterijino Pozorje for original contemporary play in the season 2022/2023.
