We are particularly delighted to present on this Bitef a work by one of the leading French and world directors of middle generation, Philippe Quesne, with a performance created in a coproduction between his troupe from Paris and the famous Kammerspiele from Munich. In a specific and for him typical visual approach and irony, Quesne develops a surreal vision of an “eco-revolution“ raised by jobless scarecrows: they have lost their jobs for various reasons, one of which is also the blow dealt to small farmers by huge corporations. The end is open, because the question remains if this performance is an authentic invitation to an “eco revolution“ or a comment on its futility.
